Live by the Sun! An elegant and modern solution for showing the Sunrise, Sunset, First and Last Light times for exactly where YOU are right now - not the "closest" city. The app also shows exactly how much daylight is left in the day - in a large, easy to read display - so you can plan ahead to the last ray of sunlight.

It shows:
• Sunrise time
• Sunset time
• First Light time (Dawn)
• Last Light time (Twilight end)
• Amount of daylight in the day
• Counts down the amount of daylight left in the day until last light
• At night, counts down the time left until the first light of the new day
• Counts down days, hours and minutes left until the shortest and longest days
• Dates of the equinox and solstice
• See the Sunrise, Sunset, First and Last light times for any day in the future.
• Percentage of the day or night completed.
• Correctly handles Daylight Saving times.
• No advertising is displayed.

An indispensable tool for those who dont want to waste a moment of the day - or the night!

Pros and cons of Sunrise Sunset Professional app for iPhone and iPad

Sunrise Sunset Professional app good for

This dev has another sunrise/sunset app, but I like the layout of this one much better. It is much easier to read the information on this app, as the information stands out better.
Gives a minimalist but good overview of upcoming sun events. The countdown to the next event is handy. Would be nice if we could set it to a fixed event (instead of next event), for example Show me always the remaining time to Last Light and First Light. BTW, sunset times seem to be off by a couple of minutes (Central Europe).
A useful tool to help me to find out about the move of the sun. Helpful at my work.

Some bad moments

The pop up keeps bugging me to review it. So here is my review: annoying. Suggestion to app developers? Dont use annoying pop ups.
This app was exactly what I was looking for. I don’t need spinning globes or extensive information. I normally just want to know “what time is sunset” and “until when do I have light (and, hence, need to be back from my bike ride). This app fills that need perfectly, and in a package that’s very thoughtfully designed. And as the owner of a company that designs apps, I appreciate that getting to a “simple” design is much harder than one might imagine. Bravo, and great work!
Instant access to data. No sifting through useless filler. Attractive screen presence. Easy to use. Easy to read.
Great little app that does simple what it advertises. One click to find sunrise and sunset times. First and last light available as well. Very easy to look quickly at days in the future.
Refer to this app daily to plan my daily end-of-day stroll...like to be back home before dark.
Love this app. As a photographer I need to know this info quickly. Having easy access to it is great. Tells me exactly what I need to know. My only complaint? I paid for no ads and I still get them. :-(
